A group exhibition within the Estonian Painters’ Association Annual Exhibition 2024 at the Pärnu Museum of New Art, featuring my work alongside a broad selection of contemporary painters.
Referencing The Wizard of Oz (1939) and the song “Somewhere, Over the Rainbow,” the exhibition reflects on hope and vulnerability in turbulent times, and on painting as a field where cultural influences are absorbed, translated, and contested.
The show brings together approaches that both cite and disrupt tradition—testing how painting can become a bridge “beyond the rainbow,” through attention, empathy, and the act of taking a position.
