Resilient Light — Paide

Paide Avatud Galerii is located inside Paide Music and Theatre House, a cultural centre in central Estonia that brings together exhibitions and performing arts events.

The Paide presentation continues Ksenia Sulaeva’s solo exhibition project Resilient Light after its first showing in Pärnu earlier in 2026. In Paide, the exhibition is installed across the building’s gallery areas: the vestibule, walking corridor, and the area in front of the small hall.

The exhibition brings together large- and mid-format paintings alongside smaller works. In this setting, Resilient Light extends beyond a single gallery room and is presented through several public areas of the cultural centre.

The project explores how figurative painting can hold emotional intensity through colour, contour, and material detail. In the Paide presentation, this visual language is adapted to a cultural house setting, where the works are encountered across different parts of the building.

Access through Paide Music and Theatre House. Mon-Fri 11:00-17:00 and one hour before ticketed events. Admission free.
